Customized For You and Your Digital Journey

Transition to a product-based approach

Stop funding projects that end and start funding products that are owned. We help you draw the line between the two, staff the teams that hold them, and put a measure on each that survives a change of sponsor.

Why teams stay

Three answers we get when we ask why you chose us

Not the pitch — the reasons clients give back to us at the end of a project, in their words.

How we work
  1. Senior only

The people who scope it are the people who build it

No account layer between you and the work, and nobody rediscovering your problem in week six because the team changed underneath you.

The engineer in your first meeting is on the project until it ships.

  2. Fixed estimates

The number we give you in week two is the number on the invoice

Testing and documentation are inside the estimate, not a change request later. Where something is genuinely uncertain we price that separately and say why.

Estimates include testing, documentation and handover — always.

  3. Yours to keep

You own the code and the accounts from the first commit

Documentation is written for whoever inherits it rather than for us. Leaving should be inconvenient, never impossible.

Repository, cloud and domain accounts are in your name from day one.

How we work

Four stages, and you know where you stand at each one

No discovery phase that quietly becomes the project. Every stage has an output you can act on, including the option to stop.

01 Understand the problem, not the request

Most briefs describe a solution someone already picked. We spend the first week with the people doing the work, mapping what actually happens — including the spreadsheet nobody mentions and the step everyone works around.

You get a written summary of what we found. If the answer is that you do not need us, we say so.

02 Scope it honestly

An estimate that excludes testing and documentation is not an estimate, it is a deposit. Ours include both, and the number we give you in week two is the number on the invoice.

Where something is genuinely uncertain we say so and price the uncertainty separately, rather than burying it.

03 Build in the open

Working software every two weeks, on an environment you can use — not a slide deck about progress. You can see the board, the commits and the failing tests.

If a plan stops holding, you hear it that fortnight, not at the deadline.

04 Hand it over properly

Documentation written for the person who inherits it, a runbook for the things that break at 3am, and time with your team before we step back.

You own the code and the accounts from day one. Leaving us should be inconvenient, never impossible.

Client story

Twelve legacy systems, one order book

A distributor was running twelve systems that each held part of an order. We did not replace them. We put one service in front, moved the order book onto it, and retired the systems one at a time as they stopped being asked for anything. Nobody had a migration weekend.

Read how we did it
We are a small senior team. The people who scope your work are the people who build it. No account layer, no handover, no rediscovering the problem in week six.

“They told us in week two that the plan would not hold, and showed us the numbers. Every supplier before them waited until the deadline.”

Operations Director, National distribution group

Automation that survives contact with the real process

Most automation projects fail on the exceptions nobody documented, not on the technology. We start by mapping what actually happens — including the workarounds — and automate the path people really take.
